Bio

Charlie Walker is one of the Pacific Northwest’s top Christian Country artists. The biblically-based and life inspired songs he writes and sings make it easy for audiences to relate to him while his melodious voice is comforting as well. It’s obvious when you see Charlie in concert that his desire is to lift up the name of Jesus. Currently residing in the beautiful high desert country of central Oregon, Charlie was born and still has deep roots in the woods of western Kentucky. His love for country music and the country lifestyle began on a tobacco farm near Farmington Kentucky, where he grew up singing songs such as “I never picked Cotton” and “Do Lord.”

Charlie’s musical career began in 1985 when he and a friend formed the country band “Countryfied.” The band performed at fairs, conventions, and opened for big name acts all over the Pacific Northwest. In 1997, following a call from the Lord, Charlie resigned from Countryfied and began his solo career as a Christian Country artist. He completed his first album, titled “God’s Country”, in 1999, followed by “Rest In His Promise in 2002. Charlie’s next project was called “Come Home”, released in 2007, and finally a hymn album called “Near the Cross” in 2009.

Traveling throughout the northwest and beyond Charlie is experiencing a very fruitful and God-inspired ministry as he shares the Gospel through song, scripture and personal testimony. Whenever Charlie performs at various venues, he is always well received by country fans and non-country fans alike. You will be encouraged, comforted and challenged in your walk with Christ when you listen to Charlie perform. Don’t miss this inspiring and talented musician!
